National Reference Points

In the final phase the European network is envisaged to have 33 reference points (27 member states, 3 EEA countries, 3 candidate countries). The tasks of the national reference points are laid down in the EQARF clearly. They should:

  • keep a wide range of stakeholders informed about the activities of the European network (EQAVET);
  • actively support the implementation of the network’s work programme;
  • introduce concrete steps in order to promote the further development of the Framework in the national context;
  • support self-assessment as a complementary and effective instrument of quality assurance which makes it possible to measure success and to detect areas in which improvements regarding the implementation of the network’s work programme can be achieved;
  • disseminate information to stakeholders effectively.
